The 2027 cities
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Targeted for the end of May 2027. Rio is a city you would visit even without a race attached to it. The course runs the coastline at dawn, and the days that follow open up into everything the city is known for, from its beaches to the mountains behind them.
Medellín, Colombia. Targeted for early September 2027, still to be confirmed. Medellín sits at altitude, so this course rewards the experience over a personal best. The city itself has spent years turning hillside neighbourhoods into some of the most creative, joyful corners of South America, and that spirit carries straight into race week.
Mallorca, Spain. A projected date in mid October 2027. This course runs along the Palma seafront and finishes near a centuries-old cathedral, with the sea close enough to reach on foot right after you cross the line. Mallorca also runs the shortest distance on the whole 2027 slate, a 10K, alongside half and full marathon options.
Athens, Greece. A projected date in mid November 2027. This is the race that gave the marathon its name, run from the town of Marathon into a stadium built from white marble. The course is a genuine grind, and almost no other race on earth carries the same history.
What each retreat includes
Every 2027 race weekend follows the same shape as Run Barbados: a base close to the start line for race weekend, then a shift into recovery mode for the days that follow, wherever that destination's version of a beach or lake escape happens to be. Distance options, an included bib, a dedicated run coach, and personalized training plans work the same way across every city on the slate.

Can I join the waitlist for more than one city? Joining the waitlist for more than one city is no problem. The same form covers Rio, Medellín, Mallorca and Athens, so tell us which ones interest you and we will keep you posted on each.
Which of the 2027 races is shortest? Mallorca carries the shortest distance option on the 2027 slate, a 10K, alongside half and full marathon options. Every other 2027 city offers the same 5K through full marathon range as Run Barbados.
Are the 2027 dates final? The 2027 dates are not all final yet. Rio is confirmed for the end of May 2027. Medellín is targeted for early September 2027 but still to be confirmed, and Mallorca and Athens carry projected dates in mid October and mid November 2027. The waitlist is the fastest way to hear the moment any of these lock in.
